Walk at Dawn

Getting up early, grabbing a coffee and going for a long walk in the frosty weather just as the sun is coming up is the most amazing thing. The air is so fresh. I am a morning person and I find it's a great time to get up and about and think about things in the quietness before the busiest time of the day.

Me and Belle went for a stroll in the woods where it was incredibly peaceful. The sunrise was beautiful today and I had my camera in hand so I wanted to share our wanders with you.

Winter Wanders

Winter. This is definitely my favourite time of year despite the cold. Walking in the snow, sledging, hot drinks and of course all the make up which is focused on dark winter shades likes plums and burgundy. I love the run up to Christmas and this year I'm feeling a lot more festive than the last couple of years. I went to the woods for the dog's morning walk and was stunned at how beautiful they looked with just a little dusting of snow.

Obviously, coffee is essential
On my lips is Rimmel's Apolalips Lip Lacquer I mentioned in the 'Recent Favourite's' post

Recent Favourites

Hello everyone! This is a first for me, a real favourites post and I am planning on doing more of them on a regular basis. I don't know if they will be monthly or not but I will try and share my top picks every so often.

These are a few things I have been loving recently including beauty products, fashion and food to try and keep a bit of variation for you.

And starting with beauty....

Nina Ultra Pro Nail Polish in Black

Good old Johnson's Baby Lotion. This is a classic and I've been using it to cleanse my face every night for a couple of months now and think it does a brilliant job in keeping your skin lovely and soft.

Rimmel London's Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Avon Eye shadow Base (I rave about this too much)

Avon Solutions Hydra Beyond Hydrating Lotion. This stuff is amazing. I have combination oily/normal skin and this feels lovely and silky and moisturizing. It doesn't sit on the skin either, just soaks right in leaving your skin feeling soft.

Peanut Butter, not a recent favourite, just an all-time favourite of mine. Also dark chocolate doesn't go a miss.

Last but not least. My new Doc Martins. I just couldn't leave these out. I love them to bits and think they are a great staple, especially for winter time. I can see myself wearing these so much this season.

Autumn/Winter Lips

So it's that time of year when I am back to my ultimate favourite lip shade for the season. I have done a couple of posts previous to this where I mention this colour but I just love it and I only came across it again recently when I was having a sort through of my make up. I wonder how I ever forgot about it.

It's Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in 470 Glam Plum Fulham.

There are so many similar shades out there at this time of year and they are all stunning, especially when worn with simple but pretty eye make up.

Winter Eye Make Up

I was playing around with some of the shadows in my kit last night and decided to try out a look that would be nice for Winter and the festive season. I decided to go with blue/silver shades to mimic frost and ice.

I kept the look quite simple with only the dark colour on the outer V of my lid, creating a slight cat eye. The middle photo shows the 3 shades I used starting from the 2nd colour in, these ones are from my Evie Mai palette.

Avon Glimmersticks

Good afternoon everyone! I'm sitting here writing this post while it's pouring down with rain outside with the occasional flash of lightning and rumble of thunder. I was hoping to go out on my motorbike tonight but that doesn't look like it will be happening.

On a cheerier note, my day has been brightened up because It's that time again when the Avon boxes come to the door and I get a nice little surprise when I remember what I ordered. This time I went for a few of their well-known Glimmersticks eyeliners. They were on a special offer (hoorah for Avon's many special offers) so I bought myself a little selection. This isn't a review post as I've not tried then all out yet, I just wanted to show you my new make up.

I bought four this time and the colours are listed above ^
'Pearly' and 'Brighten Up Pink' are waterproof while the black and the brown are standard. Sorry the pink didn't come up too well in the swatch photo but it's quite hard to see anyway as it's quite nude.
Looking forward to giving these a try.

Stay Beautiful
