Wedding Make Up

Last Friday I was asked to do my friend's wedding make up, along with four of her bridesmaids. We decided to stick with a simple smokey eye with big elegant lashes and a flawless base.

I tweaked each individual make up as everyone likes theirs slightly differently, which is a part I love about my job because it means I'm learning all the time. Here's a few snaps of the day displaying my work starting with the bride.

Wedding Day Make Up

Last month I had the opportunity to be part of my cousins special day by doing her make up and also her little sister's make up who was her maid of honor. I also did the nails of the bridesmaids. I really enjoy doing make up at events like weddings, there's always so much hussle and bussle the morning of the big day with prep, hair and make up etc do be done. I kept the look natural with a beautiful soft brown smokey eye and flawless, naturally glowy skin.

Everyday Sultry Eyes

This is my beautiful sister modelling one of my favourite go-to eye looks. I have done it so often that it takes me no time at all to through even if I'm in a hurry. A simple smokey eye with the most time-consuming part being the winged liner, but then again, that is optional. The best part about this look is that you can pick and choose your shades and colour, anything goes, it's your choice. It's great to play about with and looks amazing using purple if you have green eyes for example.

The Power Of Make Up

I'm still impressed by make up everyday, how it can completely change the look and shape of a person's face if you want it to. The reason I took an interest in make up is that I was amazed at how effectively you can use it to enhance facial features. To this day I base most of my make up looks focusing on natural features, big lips, high cheekbones etc. In the look I did here I did apply false lashes, which I'm not a huge fan of everyday but to show the effectiveness you can achieve I used them for these photos.

Urban Decay Naked Palettes

I never thought I would be one to own even one Naked Palette from Urban Decay but last week I purchased all three. I love the neutral shades in these palettes and even though a lot of the shades are similar they are all pretty, with a mix of some matte and some shimmer and with plenty of choice for different skin tones.
