Pretty Little Things

 To Make You Smile

Hello everyone! I thought I'd share a few photos I've been taking over the last week or two, nothing in particular but just pretty little things I've seen that have made my day and seeing these lovely things totally inspired me to make a post. There may be a bit of a theme going on here because I've been loving all things 'vintage' recently, but hey, don't we all like a bit of that quirky old fashioned style?

Lovely glam clip on earrings I bought a few months back which I thought were quite 'Audrey Hepburn-ish'. (we'll just pretend that's a describing word!). I thought clip on earrings are quite uncommon, but these ones were from Primark and I've noticed they've been doing quite a few pairs of these recently.

Sitting in a cafe the other day I couldn't stop looking at this old fashioned coffee machine so I jut had to get a snap of it!

Stay well and happy!

Avon Eyeshadow Primer

I just have to share this wonderful product with you which arrived through the door today with my Avon order. I went through a phase a few months back of trying out eyeshadow primers because I do find that if I don't use one then my eyeshadow creases and doesn't stay in place. It's the third time I've bought Avon's shadow primer and it's still the best one I've tried without a doubt and doesn't fail to keep my eyeshadow in place without the creasing! It has a lovely moussey texture and smooths your eyelids seamlessly so it also looks fab just on it's own. Scores 10 out of 10 for me.

Superdrug Vitamin E Range

Budget Beauty!

Hey everyone! So I went out to Superdrug the other week and came across their Vitamin E range of skincare they say is suitable for normal - dry skin. Their products claim to be rich in vitamin E and antioxidants so they sound nice and healthy for your skin. I've heard positive things about this range and have seen good reviews online so I thought I'd give a couple of the products a go and try them out.

First up is the night cream labeled 'nourishing' which is thick and creamy. It has a lovely, subtle scent which smells a little like almonds although I don't think there is actually any in it. It's nice and smooth to apply your skin but I feel it dries in quite quickly too. I think it just has to be smothered on a bit more generously! Why not?

I also went for their eye cream as I'm ashamed to say I didn't actually own one for a good while before buying this. I like to use this morning and night for a boost of nourishment around the eyes to waken up my face. These products may not be the greatest but the price I have to say is incredible, especially if you're on a budget... you can't go wrong! Browse through the range  here.

 Stay beautiful.

LOTD: Patterned Jeans

Saturday's Pick

Close up shot of the pattern - I think it's absolutely gorgeous

Another browse in Primark led me to buy these beautiful new jeans but for only a £5 - not exactly a price to feel guilty about. I seen these and just thought they looked really pretty. The pattern is quite subtle but at the same time it makes a big difference to your normal pair of blue jeans which I love. It's a bit deceiving that they're made to look like there's pockets on the front, but there isn't. I love these jeans though and I'm very happy to have picked them up.

Have a happy Saturday!

Bloom and gloom

Pink to make boys wink

For the last little while I have been waking up to our grey British weather - dark clouds, rain, wind, the lot. I feel these kind of days definitely need brightened up some how so I dug into my rather appropriate 'rainy day fund' and purchased this beautiful Barbara Daly lipstick in Bloom which I tried out for the first time today.

Wearing Barbara Daly cream colour Liptick in Bloom

I wasn't sure about this colour when I first bought it but I'm learning to love it. It's a gorgeous pinky shade and it being a cream colour doesn't dry out your lips. A good shade for Valentine's day as well! I hope you have a good one.
The Barbara Daly make-up range is available at Tesco but unfortunately I don't think they are stocking this particular colour anymore.

Stay bright and beautiful!

Stuffed Pitta Breads

A Healthy Lunch

How tasty do these look?

Today I thought what I had for lunch was worth sharing with you. My mid day fuel up consisted of tuna mayonnaise and sweetcorn stuffed into a toasted wholemeal pitta bread with mixed lettuce leaves and cherry tomatoes. I'm a big fan of pittas but filling them with tuna was new to me and it turned out beautifully. Such a simple recipe but very yummy indeed.

Be healthy and happy!

H&M BB Cream Brush

To Add To The Collection

Hey guys! I finally managed to purchase one of these only yesterday. Seems they must be quite popular as every time I went into H&M they had a few of every make up brush apart from this one! I used it for the first time today for liquid foundation and it's all I expected and hoped it to be to be honest. It's a tough little brush with dense bristles but at the same time extremely soft and good for buffing product into the skin nice and evenly.

Next to the Real Techniques Buffing Brush

I don't really mean to point out the differences with this brush to the Real Techniques brushes but just for size comparison, and I will say, it does feel very similar to the RT Buffing Brush to touch and when working in foundation to the skin. This brush is only £5.99 at H&M - Available here

Happy make-upping!

Bright Colourful Eyes

A New Toy Has Arrived!

I was so excited when my new eyeshadow palette from Jazooli arrived through the door the other day and I couldn't wait to play around with it. I've been dying to do something a bit more adventurous/artistic with eyeshadows for a while now and it's as much fun as I hoped it would be. I was inspired while scrolling though pictures of bold eye make up and got the urge to try it out.

Here's a look I did on my beautiful cousin Rebecca who was my playing the role of model.

If you are wanting to get into more colourful makeup like this I really do recommend the Jazooli palette which is fab for practicing with. The pigmentation of the shadows is nothing to complain about and they are great applied with both fingers and brushes. It comes with 120 shades and at only £5.49 you can't go wrong. I think I will be taking this to college with me to get even more of a chance to use it!

Think I will definitely continue to experiment with bright colours and try to be more creative and daring when it comes to eye make up. I hope you like the look!

Lovely Little Lip Balm

Ola Cola!

So I'm going to start by saying I am seriously impressed with this lip balm after trying out plenty of others and discovering all they really do is dry out my lips even more. I found this little gem in a local craft shop of all places and after smelling it's amazing scent (which is the sweet smell of cola bottles) I knew I had to have it. There was also one which smells of bubblegum (also very tempting!)

With it's ingredients including things like Shea Butter, Bees Wax and Vitamin E and good stuff like that it's bound to do some good to your skin and feel luxurious! I'd like to be able to give who ever made it some credit but it doesn't come with a name on the tin...whether it was the lady that owned the shop who made it or not I don't know.

I love finding these little treasures and with it being only £2.50 this goes straight onto my musts list.

Stay Beautiful,

Cute Little Undies

How pretty are these? Accessorize isn't usually a shop I go in, but over Christmas I was given a gift card so I went in for a browse and they certainly do have some lovely things and I think I'll be going more often.

I came out with these, 3 pairs for £12 and I think they are gorgeous little things!
