Healthy Scone Recipe!

Better for you Tea time Treat!

I love scones! Especially fruit scones. I am all for enjoying what you love and treating yourself with little luxuries. They are my all time favourite treat to have with a mug of tea and recently I have been adapting the usual recipe by switching white flour with wholemeal flour, which makes them healthier and more nutritious, and in my opinion, far more yummy! So I thought I would share this recipe with you if you, give them a go and see what you think.
I also swap regular granulated white sugar with molasses which overall is more natural, it's unrefined so it's got more goodness in it too. Lovely!
Fresh is best! What's more comforting than a 'just out of the oven' warm bake?
I had one for breakfast the next morning too with strawberry jam and a side of raspberries. How scrumpcious!
The good thing with scones is that the recipe doesn't have to be exact and the ingredients can pretty much be thrown in all at once, it's great when things don't have to be perfect.

12oz Wholemeal flour
3/4 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
Approx 3-4oz Butter
3oz Sugar
A handful of Sultanas
Roughly 200ml Milk (room temperature)

Bake at 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) for about 15 minutes.
Treat yourself and enjoy.this super tasty cake!
