New Years Make Up and Nails

Bright Eyes and Bright Hopes

Well happy new year everybody and all the best for 2014! I am so hopeful for this new year and I'm determined to make the most of it and try to do the things that I want to do. 

This is a bit of a 'spur of the moment' post but I thought you might like to see what make up I wore for new years eve with my new years day nails thrown in! The products I used will be listed below.

 

I used Loreal Colour Appeal in Metal Plum over my lids

then used Maybelline's Fatal Violet on the outer corner of my eye with a touch of the darker shades from Revlon's eyeshadow quad Addictive (this quad, I must say is an essential part of my make up kit and couldn't live without it!)

I used my much loved Black Liner from Collection do draw a slightly winged line.
My current favourite mascara is Avon's Supershock in black which I actually never used to like as it seemed to clump my lashes, but not anymore! 
A pair of falsies from Ebay and that was the glam look finished.

I went for a lilac-y purple eyeshadow look because I love that colour and think it looks so pretty. Recently I have been liking the trick of using sellotape in a line following up from your bottom lash line to the outer edge of you brow to create a sharp edge on your 'smokey eye'. It looks beautiful and chic.

I did this on my nails while chilling in front of the TV and refusing to change out of my comfys. This is the teal colour from one of the new polishes that came with the Company magazine - but mainly I wanted to rave about the sparkles on my nails instead. This is gorgeous. It's Avon's new Opal top coat which you apply over any colour to add the pretty sparkliness. Cutest thing ever!
